Men's Swimming and Diving

Swimming & Diving Breaks Records and Takes Home Three Golds on Day 1 of America East Championships

Lexington, Va. -- The UMBC Swimming & Diving team set numerous records and took home three golds on the first day of the America East Championships at VMI on Wednesday.

Isaac Poole (1M) and Ember Stennett (3M) swept the diving events for the Retrievers, while the 200 Medley Relay team of Ryan Harding, Christian Coleman, Oliver Gassmann and Sean Neils took gold in a Conference, Meet, Pool and School Record time of 1:26.097.

Poole's prelim dive of 355.95 was a Conference, Meet, Pool and School Record, while Stennett set the Meet and Pool Record in the 3M with her dive of 288.25.

Anders Logas took bronze in the 1M dive, with Andy Vines and Kaleb Cave taking the spots directly behind him.

The action continues tomorrow beginning at 10 a.m.
