SAAC is part of including student-athletes in the governance process of athletics and extends to both the conference (America East) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Other functions of SAAC inlcude: Promote communication between athletic administration and student-athletes; Disseminate information; Provide feedback into athletic department issues; Build a sense of community within the athletics department involving all athletic teams; Organize community service efforts; Coordinate with the Student Government Association; and Promote a positive student-athlete image on campus.
