The UMBC Women's Basketball team will look to improve its playoff seeding when it hosts NJIT for Senior Night on Thursday at The Peake.
The Retrievers will honor
Anna Blount,
Trinity Palacio and
Maryama Turkstra with a ceremony that is set to begin at 6:41, with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.

Carmen Yánez scored a game-high 15 points, as the UMBC Women's Basketball team led wire-to-wire in a 53-43 win over Visiting New Hampshire on Sunday at The Peake.
The Retrievers held UNH to just 19 points and eight made field goals through the first three quarters. With victory, UMBC clinched a spot in the America East playoffs which begin on Friday, March 8th.
Jaden Walker finished with 12 points and seven boards, while Blount added nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals
Scouting NJIT:
- Visiting Maine poured in 22 third-quarter points to top NJIT, 72-46, in America East Conference action Saturday afternoon inside the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center.
- NJIT was led by junior Trinity Williams with nine points on 3-for-5 from the field to go along with five rebounds followed by graduate student Kenna Squier and freshman Marissa Gingirch each posting seven points.
- Senior Aria Myers and freshman Madilyn Dogs chipped in six points apiece for the Highlanders.

- UMBC used a dominant second quarter and a complete team effort to knock off host NJIT, 72-61, at the Joel & Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center on January 27
- Making her first collegiate start, freshman wing Anne Adewumi amassed career bests with 14 points and six rebounds.
- Blount led UMBC with 17 points, while Walker added 12 points and a team-best seven caroms.
- Walker led the way for UMBC's bench, which outscored NJIT's, 31-8.
- UMBC outscored NJIT, 22-11, in the second quarter to lead, 37-23, at halftime and the Highlanders only closed to single digits once in the second half.
