BALTIMORE - Fresh off a breakthrough 2025-26 campaign that saw them earn a postseason bid into the WNIT, the UMBC women's basketball team has announced its 2026-27 season schedule.
The Retrievers open the campaign with a pair of home contests, hosting Division III Stevenson to tip off the season on November 2 before welcoming Mount St. Mary's for game one of the America East-Metro Challenge on November 5. The Retrievers will play their first road game of the season in the second game of the event, traveling to Connecticut to take on Quinnipiac on November 8.
UMBC begins a five-game road stretch on November 18, traveling to take on the University of Pittsburgh before a non-conference rematch with Brown on November 21. The Dawgs will compete in a Thanksgiving Tournament hosted by Iona on November 27 and 28 and will travel to Annapolis to play Navy on December 3.
The Retrievers will round out non-conference play with three of four at home, welcoming Coppin State, Notre Dame of Maryland, and American, while traveling to College Park to take on the Terps on December 18.
UMBC opens up America East play on New Year's Eve at Binghamton before hosting NJIT on January 3 for its first home league game. The Retrievers welcome Maine, New Hampshire, and Bryant in early January before a three-game road trip to UAlbany, Vermont, and UMass Lowell. The Retrievers round out the month with a home matchup versus Binghamton and a bye. UMBC will travel to Bryant, Maine, New Hampshire and NJIT in February, while hosting UAlbany, Vermont, and UMass Lowell for return trips.
