UMBC women's basketball had a pair of student-athletes represented on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team it was announced today. Junior

Dagny Slomack receieved the honor for the Retrievers, marking the first time since 2022-23 a player earned the honor for women's hoops.
UMBC recently completed an impressive 2025-26 season, taking top-seeded Vermont to the wire in the America East Semifinal and earning a spot in the WNIT, the program's first postseason appearance since 2016-17.

Tillman, a junior forward majoring in Media and Communication Studies, adds another accolade to her historic first season at UMBC. Academically, Tillman sports a 3.86 GPA, was named to the 2026 America East Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, and was a Dean's List recipient in the fall.
On the court, Tillman recently became the fifth player in program history to score 500 or more points in a season. She was named the America East Newcomer of the Year, a first-team all-conference selection, and to the America East All-Tournament Team. Tillman has etched her name throughout the UMBC record books, ranking in the single-season top-10 in points, free throws made, and free throw percentage.
Slomack, a sophomore guard majoring in Financial Economics, has a 4.0 GPA at UMBC after transferring in from Central Connecticut State. The New Jersey native was named to the Presidents' List in the fall. On the court, she appeared in 30 games, making two starts. The sharpshooter knocked down 25 triples this season and made an impressive 27-of-29 free throws in her first season as a Retriever.
