Tillman Named to All-ECAC Second Team

DANBURY, Conn. - UMBC junior forward Jade Tillman was named to the All-ECAC Second Team it was announced earlier today. Tillman recently completed a standout first season for the Retrievers and is the first UMBC player to earn All-ECAC honors since Kiara Bell in 2022-23.

Tillman appeared in all 32 games for the Retrievers, making 30 starts after transferring in from East Carolina. The Rockville, Md. put together one of the top scoring seasons in program history, totaling 505 points, good for fifth all-time. Tillman finished her 2025-26 campaign on a streak of 25 straight games scoring in double figures, reaching 20 or more points in seven contests. During the America East Tournament, she scored 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in an overtime loss to top-seeded Vermont in the semifinal, making her one of just two players in the past 20 years to record a 30-10 game in the America East Tournament.

The honor is added to a laundry list of accolades earned by Tillman this season. She was named the America East Newcomer of the Year, and was named to the all-conference first team before grabbing a spot on the America East All-Tournament Team. Tillman also added academic honors as she was named to the America East All-Academic Team and selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

For the season, Tillman finished averaging 15.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game. She ranks third all-time in UMBC history with a free-throw percentage of 86.2 percent.
