The UMBC Women's Basketball team returns home from a three-game road swing when it hosts Bryant on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Last time out, the Retrievers used a dominant second quarter and a complete team effort to knock off host NJIT, 72-61, on Saturday at the Joel & Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center. Â
The Retrievers improved to 3-2 in America East road contests this season. They are now 7-12 overall, 3-4 in America East as they put to rest a four-game slide.

UMBC with 17 points, while classmate forwardÂ
Jaden Walker added 12 points and a team-best seven caroms.
Walker led the way for UMBC's bench, which outscored NJIT's, 31-8.
UMBC outscored NJIT, 22-11, in the second quarter to lead, 37-23, at halftime and the Highlanders only closed to single digits once in the second half.
Scouting Bryant:
- On Saturday, the Bryant University women's basketball team fell 61-35 to Vermont in Burlington.
- Mariona Planes Fortuny tallied 10 points, and Megan Bodziony hit two three-pointers and had three steals.
- The Bulldogs didn't have a lead after the eight-minute mark of the first quarter.
- Fortuny posted 10 points.
- Scott hauled in eight boards.
- Bodziony had three steals and went 2-2 from deep.
- Gonzalez tallied seven points and hit a three-pointer.
- The Bulldogs shot 25% from the field, 18% from three, and 80% from the line.
- The Black and Gold were outrebounded 47-25.
- Fortuny recorded her 14th 10+ point game of the season and fifth straight in conference play.
- Bodziony hit two three-pointers for the third time this year.
