The UMBC Women's Basketball team looks to get back into the win column when it hosts UMass Lowell on Saturday at 1 p.m. on ESPN+.

Laura Lacambra continued her stellar play as she poured in a career-high 14 points, but defending America East champion Vermont rallied past host UMBC, 70-55, on Thursday morning in front of over 2,300 screaming school kids at The Peake.Â
Anna Blount also scored 14 and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds, whileÂ
Jaden Walker added 11 points of her own.
The loss snapped UMBC's four game winning-streak and dropped its record to 6-9 and 2-1 in America East play.
Scouting UMass Lowell:
- The UMass Lowell women's basketball team (2-13, 2-1 AE) picked up a huge road conference win with a thrilling 70-67 win over the NJIT Highlanders (8-7, 0-2 AE) on Thursday morning.
- Four River Hawks hit double figures in the victory, led by a team-high 18 points from graduate student Mili Carrera (Lima, Peru). Freshman Cire Worley (Philadelphia, Penn.) added 15, including shooting 4-6 from three, and a team-high three steals. Fellow freshman Rayne Durant (New Haven, Conn.) scored 14 and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds while senior Leilani Rodriguez (Worcester, Mass.) tallied 11 points, five rebounds and one assist.
- Redshirt-junior Sydney Watkins (Indianapolis, In.) recorded 10 assists on the afternoon, tying the Division I program record for assists in a game and she is now tied for sixth in program history with her 10-assist performance against the Highlanders.
