Mount St. Mary's would cut the deficit to 4-3 with a solo home run in the fifth, but the Retrievers would put up runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth to take a commanding lead.

Peter Godrick (Millersville, Md./Archbishop Spalding) and Machado each drove in runs in the eighth with Torres capping the scoring with a big two-run home run in the ninth to make it 9-3 in favor of the Retrievers.
