Biography

2020: Played in all 13 games for the Retrievers during the shortened 2020 season… Collected 14 hits with a double, triple and six RBI… Scored seven runs with a .255 batting average and nine stolen bases… Had a five-game hit streak during the season including a 4-5 game against Stetson on February 28 where he drove in two runs and stole two bases. 

2019: Played in 53 games during his rookie season, entering the top ten in career stolen bases with 25… Collected 50 hits with three doubles, three triples and one home run… Scored 33 runs and drove in 20… Had his first career hit in the season opener against UNC Asheville on February 22… Smashed his lone home run of the year in a tight 3-2 loss to Miami (Fla.) on March 2… Had three multi-RBI games, in which UMBC won every one… Named to the America East All-Rookie Team.

Background: Named to First Team All-Conference all four years at Fauquier High School… Earned first team all-region and all-state as a senior, while being named conference and regional player of the year in his final season… As a senior he batted .522 with 47 hits… Also earned All PBR VA/DC First team, Nova Nine Team and All-USA Virginia Baseball Team honors in 2018.

Personal: Son of Matt and Corinna O’Saben… Has one sister, Jordyn… His dad Matt played baseball at George Mason… Currently undecided on a major… Favorite pro team is the Washington Nationals and favorite movie is Step Brothers.
