Biography

2021: Played in 25 games for the Retrievers in the outfield during 2021… Had three hits in 16 at bats with 10 runs scored, one double and three RBI… Went 2-2 in the season opener with a double and an RBI.

2020: Made 10 appearances during the 2020 season with three hits, three runs scored, three RBI, and a .300 batting average… Came on strong toward the end of the season with a two-hit game against Navy on March 8… Drove in two runs in the final game of the season in a 4-2 win against Coppin State on March 10.

2019: Played in 32 games in the outfield for the Retrievers… Collected seven hits with seven runs scored and three RBI… Stole six bases with two doubles… Made his collegiate debut against UNC Asheville on February 24… Had his first career hit just a week later against Miami (Fla.).

Background: Named All-MIAA as a senior at Archbishop Spalding High School… Finished the year batting .343 with 19 RBI and a .518 on base percentage… Earned All-County honors by the Capital Gazette as a junior and senior… Played in the Brooks Robinson All Star Game in 2018… Helped the Cavaliers win the MIAA Championship as a sophomore.

Personal: Son of Chet and Kathy Godrick… Has two siblings, Billy and Kayla… His brother Billy plays baseball at Fordham… Plans on majoring in financial economics… Chose UMBC over St. Joseph’s, Catholic University and USC Aiken… Favorite pro team is the Baltimore Orioles and musical artist is Thomas Rhett.
