Last time out, the Men's Swimming team won 12 of 14 events and broke nine pool records en route to a convincing 159-103 win over host Salisbury on December 6.
The events were contested in a 25 meter pool.Â
FreshmanÂ
Quinn Marchionini continued his tremendous debut campaign, winning all three events he competed in pool record times. He won the 100 back in 55.06, the 200 back in 2:03.42 and was the starting leg in the 200 medley relay (1:41.12). His opening 50 back in that relay was also a pool record (25.37). He was joined on that winning relay byÂ
Sean Neils,Â
Stefano Perez andÂ
Braden Weise, each of whom won at least one other individual event.
Weise won and set the pool record in both the 50 free (23.09)Â and the 100 free (51.34). He was also joined by Perez, Neils andÂ
Axel Mori on the winning 200 free relay team in a pool record time of 1:33.00.
Perez took first in the 100 fly in a time of 56.72, while Neils won the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.81.
Andrew McEachern (pool record 1:53.82) andÂ

Felipe Taveira Lira set the pool record en route to the gold in the 200 IM, with Kay finishing in second just behind him (2:08.35).
The Women's Swimming team snapped Salisbury's nearly six year home unbeaten streak with a dominant 148-114 dual meet win that same day.
The Retrievers set six pool records en route to handing the Seagulls their first dual meet loss since January 11, 2020, a span of 17 dual meets.
Ashley Gutshall set four pool records in winning her four events: 50 free (pool record 26.61), 100 free (pool record 58.83), anchor on the 200 medley relay (pool record 1:58.99) and starter on the 200 free relay (pool record 1:47.80).
She was joined on the 200 medley relay byÂ
Alice Marini,Â
Ula Parrill andÂ
Erma Duratovic, and her 200 free relay team comprised of Duratovic,Â
Claire Oettinger andÂ
Bruna de Padua.
Marini nearly matched Gutshall as she set three pool record and won all four of her events: 200 fly (2:23.29), 200 back (pool record 2:18.13), 200 IM (pool record 2:22.16) and was the starter on the 200 medley relay (pool record 1:58.99).
de Padua won the other two events she swam in: 400 free (4:36.47), 200 free (2:09.83).Â

Anders Logas won the 3 meter and came in third in the 1 meter as the UMBC Diving program hosted its inaugural Retriever Diving Invite on December 6.
Logas scored 299.55 to win the 3M, withÂ
Kaleb Cave (259.35) andÂ
Grant Moore (244.80) taking third and fourth in the event. Logas scored 280.05 in the 1M to take bronze, while Moore (259.80) and Cave (249.45) took fifth and sixth.
On the Women's side,Â

Isabella Evers, who placed fifth.
Evers was the top UMBC finisher in the 1M, as she placed fifth andÂ
