Biography

2022-23

·       Returned from a mid-season injury and earned a point for UMBC on the 1-meter board at America East Championships

·       Finished third on the 3-meter board at the ECAC Winter Championships

·       Won the 1-meter competition in UMBC’s victory over of VMI

·       Named America East Diver of the Week on Oct. 18 and Oct. 26 after meets in Newark and Annapolis

·       Won the 3-meter event at the NJIT Invitational and posted a season-high score of 240.23 on the 1-meter board at Navy


BACKGROUND
·       Centennial High School’s Rookie Diver of the Year in 2022

·       Placed seventh on the 1-meter board at the Georgia High School Championships

·       A competitive diver for less than one year, after a 13-year career in gymnastics

·       Ranked in the top 10 nationally on the uneven bars in 2020

·       Considering a major in English and would like to be a screenwriter, book publisher or editor

·       Selected UMBC over several Ohio Division I institutions because “of the school’s academic reputation, the coaching and location 

·       Lists favorite professional team as MLB’s Atlanta Braves and favorite movie as Dead Poets’ Society

·       Her father, Michael, played college ice hockey at Norwich (Vt.) University

·       Daughter of Emily and Michael Buteau
