Swimming & Diving Announces 2026-2027 Schedule

BALTIMORE -- The UMBC Swimming & Diving programs announced their 2026-27 schedule on Tuesday morning. Last season, the Men's program won it's 15th America East title in 20 seasons of America East competition, while the Women had a strong fourth place showing in a talented field.

"We are very excited for the upcoming season," said head coach Matt Donovan. "It's a great mix of old foes and new competition to help us best prepare for the America East Championships."

After the annual Alumni/Black & Gold Meet on September 26, the season officially kicks off with a home Family Weekend tri-meet against American and VMI on October 3. The Retrievers then hit the road for a tri-meet at Navy with the hosts and William & Mary (October 10), followed by the three-day Thomas Murphy Invitational hosted by Loyola Maryland (October 23-25).

After a swimming only home meet against Mount St. Mary's (November 7), the Dawgs welcome La Salle to the UMBC Aquatic Complex for a Professor Appreciation Day meet (November 14), and then the 2026 calendar year closes at the Bucknell Invitational (December 4-6).

UMBC returns to action on January 23 as the swimmers travel to Johns Hopkins and the divers host the second annual Retriever Diving Invite. The Retrievers then celebrate Senior Day on January 30 by hosting Towson, and the divers complete the regular season schedule at Navy on February 7.

The America East Championships will be held in Buffalo, NY at the Burt Flickinger Center February 24-27.
