Order of Events
BALTIMORE -- Freshman
Aidan O'Callaghan went from final qualifier for the finals to champion in the one meter dive to lead the UMBC Swimming & Diving program on a succesful Day Two at the Thomas Murphy Invitational hosted by Loyola Maryland on Saturday.
O'Callaghan was the ninth and final qualifier for the finals with a score of 205.85, but scored a 299.85 in the finals to take gold.
Kaleb Cave tied for silver with a dive of 298.30,
Anders Logas took fifth and
Grant Moore placed seventh.
Ember Stennett took silver in the three meter for the Women, with
Alicia Buteau and
Isabella Evers placing sixth and seventh in the 16 diver field.
On the swimming side of the pool,
Alice Marini won the 400 IM by over 2.5 seconds with a time of 4:23.37.
Matthew So continued to impress as he took fourth in the 100 fly in a time of 48.83, as all the top four finisher touched the wall within .46 of each other.

Breanna Smith,
Nicol Davanzo and
Claire Oettinger improved their previous best by nearly four seconds to take third in the 400 medley relay (3:49.59). Davanzo would later win the B final of the 100 fly.
Felipe Taveira Lira (4:00.98) and
James Tao (4:02.69) took second and third in the 400 IM.
Bruna de Padua took third in the A final of the 200 free and won the B final of the 100 back (58.31).
Stefano Perez also won the B final of the Men's 100 back (51.16)
Ula Parrill and
Lea Kaiser took the top two spots in the B final of the 100 breaststroke, while
Sean Neils won the B finals (57.47) of the Men's side of the event. Oettinger, de Padua,
Erma Duratovic and
Evie Grim placed third in the 200 free relay.
