The UMBC Baseball team makes a brief return home to Alumni Field as it hosts cross-town rival Towson on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
This will be the Retrievers only home game in a seven game stretch as they played three at NJIT this past weekend and will play three at UMass Lowell this upcoming weekend.
Last time out, UMBC dropped a 12-3 decision in the series finale at NJIT on Sunday afternoon.
The Highlanders jumped out to a an early 6-0 lead and never looked back, en route to taking the rubber match.
Matthew Best had an RBI double,
Danny Wyatt had an RBI sacrifice fly and
Matt Ryan scored on a wild pitch to account for the Retrievers runs.
Justin Taylor and
Derek Paris had the other hits for UMBC, who got a scoreless 2.1 innings of relief from
Nick Remy.
