Men's Lacrosse Hosts No. 16 Vermont on Saturday

UMBC Athletics COVID-19 Attendance Policy

Vermont at UMBC Game Day Program

The UMBC men's lacrosse program quickly developed healthy America East rivalries with New York foes UAlbany, Binghamton and Stony Brook and another developed with Hartford in the middle part of the last decade.

It has taken longer to come to fruition, but the Retrievers and Vermont Catamounts have now reached that outstanding state of competitiveness.

UMBC (4-1, 3-1 America East) takes on first-place and 16th-ranked Vermont (4-2, 4-0) at UMBC Stadium at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 3 after a pair of jaw-dropping contests in 2019.  Each team captured a game in dramatic fashion and the Retrievers were set to open defense of the 2019 title in Burlington a year ago when the pandemic halted the 2020 campaign.

Gary Stein has the call of the game on the America East Digital Network.

Keep up to date with the men's lacrosse team at umbcretrievers.com and on the team's social media accounts on Twitter (@UMBC_MLax) and Instagram (@umbc_mlax).

Last Time Out

The Retrievers avenged Wednesday's 8-7 overtime loss to Binghamton and triumphed, 7-6, on an unseasonably warm early spring Saturday afternoon at UMBC Stadium.

Galloway and Hall each scored twice for UMBC, while leading scorer Nick Dupuis led the way with a goal and two assists. Senior attackman Ryan Frawley returned from a two-game absence and added a pair of helpers for the Retrievers.
