Game Day Program, Binghamton at UMBC
It's highly unusual, but it has happened before.
The UMBC men's lacrosse team (3-1, 2-1 America East) takes on Binghamton (2-1, 2-1) for the second time in four days with this match-up taking place at UMBC Stadium at noon on Saturday, March 27.
In 2011, the Retrievers travelled to Hartford for the season finale on Saturday, April 30. The Hawks won the game, 10-6, and three days later, UMBC boarded the bus for an America East semi-final contest. The host Hawks won again, 14-11, on the way to their first league tilte.
Ten years later, UMBC will try to exact revenge on the Bearcats, who captured an 8-7 overtime decision over UMBC on Wednesday in Vestal, N.Y. The game will be broadcast on the America East digital network with Gary Stein on the call.

Last Time Out
The Retrievers battled back from a three-goal second-half deficit, but were unable to breakthrough as host Binghamton (2-1, 2-1 AE) scored with 0.07 left in overtime to win, 8-7, on Wednesday.
It was UMBC's third overtime game in four outings this season and the rescheduled game versus the Bearcats was their second road game in five days. The setback snapped UMBC's seven-game winning streak, which started in the truncated 2020 season.
The short-handed Retrievers (3-1, 2-1 AE) peppered the net the entire game, outshooting the Bearcats 48-25, but BU goalie Teddy Dolan tied a career-high with 18 saves. UMBC never led in the game.
Sophomore A/M Nick Dupuis (Alexandria, Va.) had a team-best three goals and two assists, while junior Trevor Patschorke (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) added two goals.
