Daly, Cologer Lead UMBC at Paul Short Invitational

FULL RESULTS

Bethlehem, Pa.—Senior Sarah Daly (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion) paced the Retrievers with a 47th place finish at the Paul Short Invitational from Lehigh University on Saturday. UMBC as a team finished in 25th for the meet.

Daly turned in a 47th place finish to lead the Retrievers in the meet, finishing with a time of 21:08, a personal best on the year. Sophomore Sophia Cologer (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) was the second Retriever across the tape, with a time of 21:47 for 105th.

Junior Katie Govatos (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis/Florida Southern) and junior Nicole Dawson (Jessup, Md./Hammond) finished third and fourth in 143rd and 159th respectively. Govatos finished in a time of 22:08, while Dawson crossed the line in 22:17.

University of Guelph won the event with 48 points, a full 79 points ahead of second place Georgetown. Colleen Quigley of FSU finished in first with a time of 19:49.

UMBC closes out the regular season at the Princeton Invitational on October 18. The meet begins at 10:00 a.m.
