Tepper Paces Women's Cross Country at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals

Bethlehem, Pa. – The UMBC women's cross country team concluded their season with a strong performance at the 2025 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals, held at the Goodman course (6K) on Friday afternoon at Lehigh.
 
The Retrievers placed 17th out of 29 teams, finishing with an average time of 22:07 among their seven runners.
 
Junior Lexi Tepper was UMBC's top performer, finishing in 73rd place out of 210 competitors with a time of 21:32.1. Tepper was in 98th position after the first mile but made an impressive comeback, climbing 25 spots to record the eighth-fastest time in program history. She also holds the fifth-best time at UMBC, which is 21:01.3.
 
Senior Lily Strelecki narrowly missed setting a personal best, finishing 86th overall with a time of 21:49.8.
 
Sophomore Katie Schwaner (22:24.9), freshman Lilly Norcross (22:25.5), and junior Katelyn Deal (22:27.0) finished in 122nd, 123rd, and 124th places, respectively.
 
Freshmen Micah Haskins (22:42.1, 139th) and Maddie Wassin (23:20.1, 171st) rounded out the scoring for the team.
