Biography

2015: Competed in five of the six races in 2015... Scored in the first two meets, finishing the Mount 5k Duals in 19:29 and the Wolfie Invitational in 20:27... Finshed the Princeton Invitational in 22:54 before scoring at the America East Championships in 19:36... Ended the year at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals, crossing the tape in 23:01. 

2014: Competed and scored in every meet for the Retrievers in 2014... Started the year with an 18:24 at the Mount 5K Duals, placing 9th... Earned a 38th place finish at the Salty Dog Invitational, crossing the line in 23:31... Ran a 22:08 at the Paul Short Invitational and a 22:33 at the Princeton Invitational in the middle of the season... Closed out the 2014 campaign with a 20th place finish at the America East Championships with a time of 18:39 and a time of 22:36 at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals... Named to the America East Commissioners' Honor Roll.

2013: Did not compete in any meets for the Retrievers… Named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Background: Attended Florida Southern College as a freshman… Took first at the 2013 B&A Trail Half Marathon… Also played lacrosse at Annapolis High, earning Second Team All-County Honors in 2011… Gained an Honorable Mention on the All-County Team in 2012… Played three years on varsity for the Panthers, captaining the team as a senior.

Personal: Daughter of David and Jackie Govatos… Has one older brother, Jason… Plans to follow the pre-med tracking by majoring in biology… Born Mar. 31, 1994.
