Drewyer's Complete Game Propels Baseball to 5-3 Victory over Chicago State

WINTER HAVEN, Fla.--Senior Austin Drewyer (Ellicott City, Md./River Hill) tossed a complete game as the UMBC baseball team defeated Chicago State, 5-3, Friday evening in it's first game of Spring Break in the Sunshine State.

Drewyer (1-2) allowed just six hits and no unearned runs, while junior Brian Klukowicz (Clifton, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) drove in two runs. Senior Casey Mediary (Elkridge, Md./Howard) and freshmen Kevin Kean (Millersville, Md./Old Mill) and Rob McCabe (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Joseph's) each had two hits.

The Retrievers return to action Saturday when they face Long Island at 2:30 p.m. in Winter Haven, Fla.
