Last time out,
Dylan Melton hit a pair of doubles and stole home, but the UMBC Baseball team (20-19, 8-7 AE) dropped a 9-2 decision at La Salle on Tuesday afternoon.
Melton and
Anthony Mascuilli each went 2-for-4 in the contest, while
Jacob Bagania added the other hit for the Retrievers.
The Explorers plated six in the bottom of the second, but UMBC responded with two runs of its own thanks to an RBI double from Melton, followed by him stealing home latter in the inning. La Salle kept the Dawgs off the board the rest of the way, however.
Kyle Eddington,
Danny Orr and
Danny Wyatt each drew two walks in the contest.
Bennett Speicher and
Ayden Gonzalez each pitched scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
Scouting UAlbany:
The Great Danes (12-25, 7-8 AE) fought late but ultimately fell to visiting Marist Tuesday Afternoon.
