The UMBC Swimming & Diving programs travel to VMI for the America East Championships this Wednesday-Saturday.

Last time outÂ
Kaleb Cave broke a 14 year old school record en route to winning the 3M on Saturday at the Towson Diving Invite. Cave scored 361.75 to win the event and break the school record of 361.20 set in 2012 by Andrew Eckhoff. He qaulified for NCAA Zones in the 3M with that score and also in the 1M with a score of 333.15 to win silver.Â
Aidan O'Callaghan also qualified for NCAA Zones in the 1M with a score of 300.95, good enough for fourth in the event.Â
Anders Logas took fourth in the 3M with a score of 308.45, and fifth in the 1M by scoring 291.25.
Isabella Evers was the top finisher for the UMBC Women as she took sixth in both events. She scored 252.65 in the 3M and 243.95 in the 1M.
The Swimmers last competed the weekend before at Towson,Â
Alice Marini won the 200 back and 400 IM, resetting her America East season top mark in the former with a time of 1:59.88.Â
Ashley Gutshall won both the 50 (23.21) and 100 free (50.81), whileÂ
Ula Parrill took second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:21.70.Â
Kolby Reese took silver in the 1000 in a time of 10:31.66.
Marini and Gutshall were the lead and anchor, respectively in the 200 medley relay and teamed withÂ
Breanna Smith andÂ
Nicol Davanzo for second. Smith, Parrill,Â
Shannyn Lambert andÂ
Daphné Melis went 2-3-4-5 in the 100 breaststroke.
On the Men's side,Â

Sean Neils won the 100 free in 45.25.Â

Stefano Perez (100 fly, 48.84) had second place finishes as well, with So taking third in the 100 fly.
The 400 free relay team of So, Neils,Â
Braden Weise and Perez won gold in 3:00.41, while the 200 Medley relay team of Marchionini, Neils, Perez andÂ
Axel Mori took the silver in 1:28.84.
