Anna Creel and
Lily Strelecki took home golds and
Ojigwe Olua continued his impressive freshman campaign as the UMBC Track & Field team had a strong showing on day one of Liberty's Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational.
Creel won the 400 (open) in 55.54 and Strelecki won the 800 (open) in a PR time of 2:14.37. Olua qualified second overall in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.94 in the semis.
Enazajah Young qualified third in the same event with a time of 8.45 and also set a PR in the 60m with a time of 7.54.Â
Alim Raji had a PR in the 60m (6.88), while
Kemarley Hibbert had a PR in a fifth place finish in the 400m.
Justin Banks finished sixth in the 800m (invite) with a season-best time of 1:51.52
Toren Burr finished 19th in the Men's weight throw (16.11m), while
Marie Abongwa (17.21) and
Ava Roberts (16.62) took ninth and 11th.
