The UMBC Baseball team begins America East play this weekend by hosting UMass Lowell for a three game set. Due to expected poor weather on Sunday, the teams will play a single game on Friday and then a Saturday doubleheader (7 innings/9 innings).

G3: LHP Brady Fox (0-0, 5.40 ERA) vs TBD

Last time out, Jesiah Carpenter and Leewood Molessa each had a pair of hits, but UMBC dropped the rubber match of its three-game series to Lehigh on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Field. 

The Retrievers fell behind 4-0 in the first for the second straight day before battling back. Danny Orr smacked an RBI double in the fifth to make it 4-1, before a sixth inning RBI single from Danny Wyatt halved the lead, but UMBC could get no closer.

Nico Ong also had a hit for the Retrievers, while Derek Paris drew three walks and Wyatt drew two.

Zach Kelly and Ayden Gonzalez combined for 3.2 scoreless innings of relief.
