The UMBC Baseball team returns from Florida and will play its first mid-week contest of the season when it heads to local rival Towson for a 2 p.m. Wednesday contest.

Logan WIley is scheduled to get the start on the mound for the Dawgs.

Last time out,UMBC closed its opening weekend in Florida with a 6-0 defeat at the hands of Iowa.

Sergio Droz was strong in his first career start, going four innings, striking out three, walking none and allowing just two runs on four hits.

Nico Ong and Luke Buscaglia each had hits for the Dawgs.

Towson concluded its three-game series vs. UMES on Sunday afternoon at Meritus Park in Hagerstown, Md with a 13-9 victory.

The Tigers got strong offensive showings from Nich Francuzenko, MJ Phillips, Brian Heckelman and Ethan Brand, who each recorded multiple RBI's in the game. Towson's five-run eighth inning extended its lead to seven, which proved to be enough cushion to secure the series victory over the Hawk
