Women's Basketball Announces America East Schedule

BOSTON -- The America East Conference announced the conference portion of the slate for the UMBC Women's Basketball team on Thursday.

The conference schedule includes 16 games with games on Thursday and Sunday, and each team playing every team twice, once at home and once on the road.

All home Thursday games will be played at 6:30 p.m., with one exception, and all Saturday home games will be at 2 p.m. with one exception as well.

UMBC will have the first bye and then kick off the conference with a home game against Binghamton on Jan.4 at 2 p.m. They then will play NJIT at the Peake for a 6:30 p.m. match on Jan.9.

After their second and final bye, the Retrievers will then hit the road for their first away game in the conference against New Hampshire on Jan.16 and then quickly travel to Maine for a game on Jan.18.

They will host UAlbany on Thursday Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. for it's annual Midday Madness game, before welcoming Vermont two days later at The Peake.

After road games at Bryant and UMass Lowell the next weekend, UMBC comes back to Baltimore to host New Hampshire and Maine. The they then play at Binghamton the following Thursday before coming home for a 4 p.m. Saturday game again Bryant two days later.

The Dawgs will host UMass Lowell on February 20 for its final home contest of the regular season, before finishing the schedule with road contests at NJIT, UAlbany and Vermont.
