UMBC opened the 2024 season against national power Santa Clara this past weekend in California.

GW took 2-of-3 contests this past weekend against Bryant in Arlington, Virginia.
The Revolutionaries dropped the opener, 13-10, but won 12-4 on Saturday and followed up with a 16-3 triumph on Sunday.
GW was swept in a three-game series at Old Dominion to open the season.
Ellis Schwartz is off to a fast start as the graduate student outfielder is batting a team-high .421 with six runs driven in.
Junior outfielder Sam Gates leads the squad with two homers, eight RBI and 18 total bases.
Left hander Teddy Brennan is off to a solid start on the bump as the junior is 1-1 with a 3.37 ERA in two starts. He's fanned 13 batters in 10.2 innings of work.
Senior right hander Benny Wilson has a save and has not allowed a run in 5.2 innings out of the bullpen.
