BALTIMORE -- UMBC head Baseball coach
Liam Bowen announced the 2025 schedule on Thursday morning.
The Retrievers, fresh off an appearance in the America East Championship game, will play 30 contests at the friendly confines of Alumni Field.
UMBC begins the season in Florida the weekend of February 21 as they will play in a tournament hosted by Stetson. After opening with the host Hatters on Friday night, the Dawgs will face Notre Dame on Saturday and Iowa on Sunday morning.
A midweek trip to crosstown rival Towson follows on Wednesday, February 26, before opening up the home slate with a three game series against Cornell that Saturday.
After a Tuesday game at George Washington, the Retrievers will again return to Alumni Field for a three-game set with Lehigh, before America East play begins the following weekend when the Dawgs host UMass Lowell.
UMBC steps out of America East play for a pair of midweeks, Tuesday at Coppin State and Wednesday at Alumni Field against Delaware State, before taking its first Conference road trip of the season with a series at NJIT.
The Retrievers will then have a split weekend series with Georgetown, as the Hoyas come to Baltimore Friday afternoon, followed by road games at GU on Saturday and Sunday.
A mid-week trip to Maryland awaits, followed by a crucial home America East series against Binghamton.
After George Washington comes to Baltimore for a midweek, the Dawgs head to UMass Lowell for a three game series, followed by a midweek home contest against Towson before hitting the road again for a series at Maine.
UMBC will then have its final non-conference weekend series of the season when it hosts Manhattan for four games. After a midweek trip to Delaware State, the Retrievers host NJIT over the weekend followed by a midweek against Maryland Eastern Shore.
The Dawgs hit the road for the final time in the 2025 regular season when they head to UAlbany the weekend of May 9, before closing the regular season with four straight at home. First, they host Coppin State before welcoming defending champion Bryant for an America East Championship rematch the final series of the season.
The top six teams will qualify for the America East tournament to be held at Maine, May 21-24.
