Molessa Homers Again, but Baseball Falls to No.20 Connecticut in Hartford

Box Score Hartford, Conn -- Leewood Molessa (Pullman, W.Va.) homered for the second consecutive day, but the UMBC Baseball team dropped a 11-2 decision to #20 UConn at Dunkin' Park in Hartford on Saturday afternoon.

Molessa hit a two-run blast, his team-best ninth of the season, to put the Retrievers up 2-0 in the first. However, the Huskies would rally and take the victory.

Anthony Swenda (Bridgeport, Pa.) had two hits and a walk for UMBC, while Ian Diaz (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Dawson Baracani (Sammamish, Wash.) also had hits for the Retrievers.

The two teams will conclude the series tomorrow at 1:05 p.m. back in Storrs.
