The UMBC Baseball team continues its brief break from America East play when it travels north to face traditional power UConn.

Last Time Out:
- Freshman Eddie Sargent (Severn, Md.) picked up his first career win with five solid innings of work and Matt Ryan (Bethesda, Md.) went 2-for-3 with three RBI as the UMBC Baseball team defeated Navy, 8-1, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
- The Retrievers improved to 11-9 (3-3 AE) and extended their winning streak to five
- In the top of the second, Matt Ryan (Bethesda, Md.) and Tony Krueger (Appleton, Wisc.) would hit back-to-back singles to open the frame before moving into scoring on an error.
- Jayden Shertel (Mays Landing, N.J.) would drive in Ryan with a sacrifice fly to put UMBC up 1-0.
- Ian Diaz would then single home Krueger to make it 2-0, and an error later in the inning would allow two more runs to score before Taylor would race home all the way from second on a wild pitch to make it 5-0.
- Navy would get on the board in the 4th after a pair of walks and a two-out single, but Sargent would get a strikeout to strand a pair
- The Retrievers would answer in the top of the fifth after Ian Diaz (Philadelphia, Pa.) singled and moved to third on a Taylor double. Both would come in to score on a Ryan two RBI single to make it 7-1.
- Evan Selmer (Beltsville, Md.) entered to pitch the bottom of the sixth, and after a lead off walk, would strike out the side.
- Leewood Molessa (Pullman, W.Va.) would smack a double to start the seventh, moved to third on a Luke Johnson (Lewes, Del.) pinch-hit single and scored on a Ryan sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 8-1.
