The UMBC baseball team (6-5) heads to Salisbury, Md. to take on the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (1-14) in a non-conference match-up on Wednesday, March 15. The first pitch is slated for 3:00 p.m. at the Henry S. Parker Athletic Complex.

RETRIEVER NOTESÂ
- UMBC took two of three games at Mount St. Mary's this weekend, sweeping Sunday's doubleheader, 10-7, 13-2.
- The game versus Bucknell, scheduled for March 13, was postponed and rescheduled for Tuesday, April 11 at 4:00 p.m.
- In game one on Sunday, senior catcher Tony Krueger smoked a three-run double down the right field line in the top of the ninth inning to break a 10-10 tie and the Retrievers held on for a 13-10 win in the opener.
- In the nightcap, sophomore right-hander Nick Remy picked up his second win of the season as he allowed just two earned runs over 5.1 innings of work.
- The Retrievers have hit 27 doubles in 11 games and will be ranked in the top 40 nationally through games of March 12. They lead America East with a .299 batting average and 7.8 runs scored per game.
- A graduate student and a freshman are leading the way for the Retrievers. Graduate student OF Ian Diaz is hitting .462 with a robust 1.406 OPS through 11 games. He leads the America East Conference in OPS and is second in batting average. Diaz has scored an America East Conference-best 20 runs.
- Freshman 1B Leewood Molessa is hitting .391 with 17 RBI in 11 contests. He leads the conference in RBI's per contest. Molessa just earned America East Conference Rookie of the Week honors for games ending March 12. He slashed .467/.867/1.423 last week with a home run, 8 RBI's and 13 total bases.
