Stony Brook, N.Y.- The UMBC women's tennis team completed the regular season by dropping a 6-1 decision at Stony Brook.
The Seawolves, who won their eighth consecutive match and improved to 13-1 on the season, took the doubles point.
UMBC sophomore Mariami Dolashvili (Alushta, Ukraine) continued her fine spring, as she rallied at No. 2 singles to knock off Kristian Vozniak, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5. Dolashvili improved to 11-5 at No. 2 singles on the campaign.
Sophomore Hanna Victorsson (Hagersten, Sweden) also evened her match after dropping the first set, but could not complete the rally and fell, 6-2, 5-7, 6-1, to Elizabeth Tsvetkov at No. 5 singles.
UMBC (5-12) will travel back to New York (Binghamton) for this weekend's America East Championships.
