Biography

Spring 2015: Earned America East Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll accolades…  Shook off early season injuries to earn several key victories for UMBC in the spring… Triumphed Hartford, Binghamton and Albany in America East competition… Won her final singles’ match in the AE Championships against Cheryl Kukkonen of Albany, 6-3, 6-4.

 

Fall 2014: Debuted to great success, defeating Emily Hughes from Loyola, 6-2, 6-2 and Egle Jakuciunaite of GW, 6-2, 6-4 in singles, then teamed with Charlotte Tonjann to a doubles victory over Sarah Contrata and Kristina Eisenbrand of St. Joseph’s, 8-3 (3) in doubles at the Tiger Classic…Reached the Flight B Consolation finals with victories over Lauren Reid of Wofford, 6-3, 6-3 and Gemma Valls from Radford, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (2) at the Hokie Fall Invitational.

 

Background: Plans to major in geography at UMBC… Attended prep school in the UK… Listed the Baltimore Ravens as favorite professional team and Beyoncé as her favorite musical artist… Favorite food is “toad in the hole”, a British classic… Career ambition is to become a lawyer or business owner… Has two siblings, Emma and John… Daughter of Diane and Chris Taylor.
