Women's Cross Country

Cologer Paces Retrievers; Women Finish 17th at Regionals

Results

Princeton, N.J.—Junior Sophia Cologer (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) paced the Retrievers with a 46th place finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals. The women as a team took home 17th place.

Cologer crossed the tape in 22:08, to lead UMBC on Friday. Senior Katie Govatos (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis/Florida Southern) was next to cross the finish line, placing 86th in a time of 23:01.

The other Retriever scorers were senior Angelina Oputa (Bowie, Md./Elizabeth Seton), junior Chelsea Vane (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron), and senior Nicole Dawson(Jessup, Md./Hammond).  Oputa placed 111th in a time of 23:24. Vane was right behind her in 115th in 23:27. Dawson rounded out the Retriever runners, finishing in 137th with a time of 23:59.
