Results

Stony Brook, N.Y.—Senior Hassan Omar (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson) made his push late, and held off the pack to win the 2015 America East Championship. After finishing in the top five the past two years, the senior finally reached the top, winning the race in 24:43.

Omar earned First Team All-Conference honors with the finish, as the Retrievers took fifth place as a team. The Frederick native became the first Retriever, male or female, to win the race.

Senior Austin Hayslett (Mount Airy, Md./Urbana) finished in fifth place with a time of 25:14 to earn First Team All-Conference. Junior Jon Luckin (Parkton, Md./Hereford) turned in a top 20 performance, crossing the tape in 20th place in 25:56. The other two Retriever scorers were junior Patrick Duboyce (New Market, Md./Linganore) and sophomore Urgy Eado (Rockville, Md./Wootton/Wesley). Duboyce finished in 40th place with a time of 26:36, while Eado was right behind him in 42nd place with a time of 26:42.

UMass Lowell won the team championship, placing all five scorers in the top 20.

The Retrievers will be back in action at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Friday, Nov. 13. This year's regionals will be held at Princeton with the men's race starting at 1:00 p.m.
