The Retrievers are primed to compete in the 2025 America East Conference Championships on Friday. October 31 in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.
The men's team is coming off a fantastic performance as they secured a trophy by finishing third at the 2025 IC4A Championships on October 17th.
Sophomore standout Daniel Danilovitz achieved a personal-best time of 24:35.2 in the 8K race, marking the second-fastest time in program history (the record is 23:57.1 set by Hassan Omar in 2015). Danilovitz placed 7th overall out of 225 competitors and earned All-East Team honors. He was particularly strong over the final half of the race as he moved up eight spots to finish in the top-10.
Redshirt freshman Joey Ensor also gained All-East recognition by finishing 23rd with a time of 25:00.9.
The women's team performed well at the ECAC Championships as they finished 12th out of 24 teams.
Junior standout Lexi Tepper earned All-East honors by placing 16th out of 235 finishers with a time of 21:41.0. She had a strong finish, moving up four spots during the final half of the race.
Senior Lily Strelecki was UMBC's second finisher, crossing the line in 22:20.7 (personal best) for 43rd overall.
Junior Erin Grime made a remarkable comeback, advancing 25 slots during the last third of the race to finish 86th with a time of 22:54.3.
