ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Seniors Sam Boimov (Montgomery Village,
Md./Gaithersburg/Salisbury) and Keri
Wilson(Columbia, Md./Long Reach) each finished 33rd as
the UMBC men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Navy
Invitational. The Retriever men placed ninth with a total time of
2:07:48.72, while the women came in 10th with a total time of
2:02:00.76.
Boimov led the Retrievers across the line in a time of 25:15.31,
while sophomore Brandon McGee (Hiram, Ohio/Crestwood) and
freshman Eric Schuler (Columbia, Md.)
finished 40th and 49th overall, respectively.
Seniors Chris
Snyder(McConnellsburg, Pa./McConnellsburg) and
junior TJ
Cowing (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) rounded
out UMBC's scoring five.
Wilson was the top female finisher for the Retrievers in a time
of 23:36.81, while freshmanMary Katherine
Kulp (Vestal, N.Y.) finished 68th overall in a
time of 24:19.98. FreshmenJulie
Gessler (Ellicott City, Md./Institute of Notre
Dame) and Alyse
Gibson (Columbia, Md./Reservoir) and
sophomore Kristen McGovern (Sykesville,
Md./Century) rounded out the scoring five.
The Retrievers return to action Friday, Sept. 30, at the Paul
Short invitational.
