PRINCETON, N.J.—Senior Sara
Parkinson (Lancashire,England/Loughborough
University) placed seventh overall, as the UMBC women's cross
country team finished 10th at the Princeton Invitational on
Saturday, while the men came in ninth.
Parkinson claims her third top-10 finish in four meets this
season, and she has led the Retrievers across the finish line in
all four meets. She finished in a time of 22:34.40.
Junior Keri
Wilson (Columbia, Md./Long Reach) placed
36th overall in 23:26.40, while sophomore Laura
Blevins (Pasadena,Md./Chesapeake),
freshman Cody
Mezebish (Westminster,Md./South Carroll) and
senior Courtney Crouse (Union
Bridge,Md./Linganore) rounded out the scoring five for the
Retrievers.
On the men's side, junior Sam
Boimov (Montgomery Village,Md./Gaithersburg) led the
Retrievers across the line, placing 29th overall in a time of
25:13.20. Freshman Brandon
McGee (Hiram, Ohio/Crestwood) was 56th in
25:35.70, while sophomore TJ
Cowing (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park),
junior Roy Jones (New
Market, Md./Linganore) and senior Chris
Bowie (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) rounded
out UMBC's scoring five.
The Retrievers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 30, at the
America East Championships in Boston.
