BALTIMORE - UMBC men's soccer head coach
Anthony Adams announced today that returner
Adamo Pantaleo and newcomer Tancredi Fadda have been named team captains ahead of the 2026 season.
"I'm confident in Tancredi and Adamo to lead the team in 2026," said Adams. "Their leadership styles will complement each other, and we have a tremendous leadership group to support them. Adamo will be entering his third year with the program, and Tancredi made a strong impression on the staff and players after transferring in this past spring."
Pantaleo, a junior defender from Ontario, started 14 of the team's 17 games in defense as UMBC posted an overall record of 6-6-5. The Canadian was one of six players in the program to log 1,300 or more minutes on the pitch in 2025. Pantaleo played the full match in five clean sheets during the 2025 campaign.Â
Fadda, an Italian native, transferred into the program from Evansville, where he made 16 starts and scored four goals in 2025. The transfer showed off impressive technical ability and leadership during the spring campaign and will help head the program in his first full season with the Retrievers.Â
