FAIRFAX, Va. - UMBC women's track & field racked up six top-five finishes on day one of the Dalton Ebanks Invitational.
The Retrievers racked up a number of results good enough to move into the top 10 all-time in UMBC history.
Lily Bandy placed second in the 200, running a personal best time of 23.98, remaining in third all-time.
Anna Creel was close behind, placing fourth with a time of 24.22, good for fourth all-time.
Elizabeth Mitroka placed fifth in the steeplechase to move into ninth on UMBC's all-time list with a time of 11:46.95.
Destiny Baker finished eighth in the 400 hurdles, clocking a time of 1:02.95, good for ninth in program history.
In the field,
Marie Abongwa took third in the women's hammer with a throw of 55.07 meters, just 0.13 shy of her program record throw.
Ava Roberts finished seventh in the event, moving into third in program history with a 51.05-meter toss.
Competing in the women's high jump open event,
Winter Evans won the event with a 1.68-meter jump, moving her into third all-time at UMBC.
Miyana Johnson finished in a tie for second at 1.63 meters, tied for fourth-best in UMBC history.
Day two of the event begins at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
