UMBC Outdoor Track & Field Readies for Dan Stimson Memorial Invitational

After opening up the 2026 outdoor season at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge this past weekend, UMBC will travel to William & Mary to compete in the Dam Stimson Memorial Invitational on Saturday. Field events will begin with the men's javelin at 9:30 a.m., with events on the track getting rolling around 1:30 p.m.

UMBC started the campaign off well on Friday and Saturday in Orlando, grabbing a trio of America East weekly awards between the two programs. On the women's side, Lily Bandy was named America East Rookie of the Week, while Iosif Papa (Field) and Jacob Martin (Rookie) grabbed awards on the men's side.

The Retrievers grabbed the top marks in the America East in multiple events in the early portion of the season.
