Last time out, the Retrievers dropped the final game of their home series with Monmouth, 13-0 (8), on Sunday afternoon. On Saturday,  Kyle Eddington scored on a wild-pitch in the bottom of the seventh to cap a seventh-inning rally and send the UMBC Baseball team to a walk-off win in a seven inning game one, before getting the game-tying hit in he eighth of game two as the UMBC baseball team rallied in both games to sweep a doubleheader.

The Retrievers took game one, 4-3, before rallying from a 9-0 deficit in game two for a 10-9 win.

UMBC 4, Monmouth 3 F/7 | Game 1
Monmouth had 3-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth before Ehi Okojie and Danny Wyatt homered on back-to-back pitches with one out to trim the deficit to 3-2.

It remained 3-2 until the bottom of the seventh when Derek Paris was hit by a pitch and Brooks Henderson followed with a single. Eddington laid down a bunt, but the Hawks third baseman threw the ball away allowing pinch-runner Luke Buscaglia to score. UMBC attempted to score the winning run on the same play, but the runner was thrown out at the plate.

Eddington took second on the error and moved to third on a wild pitch before scoring on a two-out wild-pitch.

Chris Harbert picked up his first win as a Retriever, pitching the final 1.1 innings, and striking out a batter. Eddie Sargent had another solid start, going 5.1 innings, striking out four and allowing just three runs on three hits.
Jesiah Carpenter also had a hit for UMBC.

UMBC 10, Monmouth 9 | Game 2
Monmouth 9-0 in the 4th when Wyatt hit a two out single, Danny Orr followed with a double and Anthony Mascuilli drove them both home with a two-run single.

Wyatt had a three-run triple in the bottom fifth to cut the deficit to 9-5, and then hit a two-run bomb in the eighth to make it 9-7. Orr followed with a single, moved to second on a ground out and scored on a Paris double.
Buscaglia pinch ran for Paris and scored on an Eddington RBI single to tie the game, and UMBC would take the lead when Henderson walked and would later score on a grounder from Carpenter.

Sergio Droz entered for his first career save and struck out a pair to complete the comeback win.

Aidan Boice picked up his first win, going 1.1 scoreless innings, while freshman Kailen Hackmann was sensational, striking out eight in 3.0 hitless innings of relief.

Wyatt finished the game 3-for-4 with five RBI and two runs scored, while Okojie and Orr had two hits each.

Scouting GW:

Sophomore Declan Wywoda tossed six scoreless innings en route to GW baseball's 9-6 win over Saint Peter's on Sunday. The victory secured GW's first sweep of the season, moving the Revolutionaries to 4-6 overall.

Through 5.1 innings, Wywoda allowed just one base runner, a hit by pitch in the second inning, which he later sat down on a double play, facing the minimum through the first 13 hitters. A Saint Peter's double eventually spoiled the no-no bid in the fifth, Wywoda's lone hit allowed on the day.

Scouting Delaware State:

The Hornets are 0-11 and coming off being swept in a three-game series at Bethune Cookman
