Marie Abongwa,
Katie Schwaner and
Enazajah Young all broke UMBC program records on Saturday as the UMBC Women's Track & Field program had another stellar meet.
Abongwa took silver and set the school record in the weight throw (18.35), Schwaner placed fifth and broke the UMBC 1000m record (2:50.25) and Young set the 60m hurdles record for the third straight competition as she took gold in a time of 8.35.
Micah Haskins earned the bronze in the 3000m in 10:23.74, while
Anna Creel (39.68) and
Madisyn Bobb (39.93) went 5-6 in the 300m.
The 4x4 relay team of
Lily Bandy, Creel,
Dalyce Schmidt and
Leanne McDonald won its heat and took bronze in a time of 3:47.49.
Gabby Millwood placed fifth in the long jump (5.50), while
Emily Mitroka finished fifth in the 800m (2:19.78).
The Retrievers will compete in the Dr,Sander Invite in New York City next weekend.Â
