BALTIMORE -- UMBC Volleyball head coach
Kasey Crider has announced the addition of transfer
Jalynn Brown to the roster ahead of the
2025 season. Brown, a 6'0 outside hitter, spent her first two seasons at South Florida. The New Smyrna Beach, Florida native has two years of eligibility remaining.
"What initially jumped out on video about Jalynn was how unique her arm is," said Crider. "There is no substitute for ball speed in our game, and she has plenty. But really, what sealed the deal was her visit to campus: she was mature, enthusiastic, and a perfect fit for the culture our team has built. It's hard not to see some big things in the near future for her."
