Volleyball Adds Transfer Grace Larrivee

BALTIMORE -- Fresh off its fifth America East title in six seasons, the UMBC Volleyball program will add transfer Grace Larrivee to the roster, head coach Kasey Crider announced on Wednesday.

Larrivee is a 6'2 middle blocker from nearby Emmitsburg, MD who played her freshman year at Oral Roberts this past fall. She played in seven matches, tallying seven kills and seven blocks.

"What initially stands out about Grace is the size and length," said Crider. "That made the initial evaluation easy. Once we got her to campus, our interest shifted pretty quickly to her character and, equally as important, her pure enthusiasm for volleyball. It is rare to find people at this level who are driven exclusively by the pleasure the sport provides, but Grace is one of those special ones who we expect to help us continue to pursue championships."
