Retriever Student-Athletes Shine in the Classroom During Spring Semester

BALTIMORE – UMBC student-athletes have once again showcased their remarkable dedication not only on the field but also in academics during the spring semester of 2025!

Achieving an impressive combined athletic team GPA of 3.42, our hardworking students truly deserve recognition. A fantastic 97 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.00 GPA, with another 108 students earning between 3.50 and 3.99. Additionally, 95 more athletes finished with GPA's ranging from 3.00 to 3.49.

Leading the way, the Retriever women's soccer team celebrated the highest GPA at 3.74, followed closely by women's lacrosse at 3.67 and women's swimming and diving at 3.64.

On the men's side, swimming and diving excelled with a GPA of 3.47, with track and field and lacrosse following closely behind. An impressive over 300 student-athletes also made it to the America East honor roll!
