Zoe Brossman and graduate student
Kalli Williams were recognized with America East Conference Women's Soccer Postseason Awards.
Brossman was selected for the All-Rookie Team after missing the previous season due to an injury. In her first season on the field, she started in all 18 matches, scoring three goals and providing three assists. Notably, her first career goal was a game-winner in a 1-0 victory against Mercyhurst on August 17. The Richboro, Pennsylvania native also recorded her first multi-goal game in a victory over Robert Morris. Her assists came against Iona, Bryant, and New Hampshire. Additionally, Brossman was named America East Rookie of the Week on October 13.
Williams received a spot on the All-Academic Team after stepping up as UMBC's starting goalkeeper this season. A graduate student from Towson University, the Port Republic, Maryland native started a career-high 14 matches. Her first accolade came on September 8, when she was named America East Defensive Player of the Week following two tied games against Towson and American, during which she made a total of 17 saves and allowed just one goal. Williams also received Defensive Player of the Week honors again on October 27. Williams currently ranks third in the conference with an .816 save percentage and is fourth in goals against average at 1.10. She is set to earn a certificate in Professional Studies, Leadership this May, after completing her undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Biology from Towson last spring.
UMBC finished 6-8-4 this past season and were 2-5-1 in the conference.
