Swimming & Diving Finishes Strong at Bucknell Invitational

FULL RESULTS

Lewisburg, Pa. -- The UMBC Swimming & Diving programs finished a strong weekend at the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday evening.

"This was a total team meet," said head coach Matt Donovan. "It was a great combination of new athletes establishing their place on the team and within the conference, along side the returning team helping lead us into the second half of the season."

The Men finished fourth (954 points) in a crowded field, while the Women took sixth (597).

Alice Marini capped a solid weekend with a fourth place finish (1:59.42) in the back, while Erma Duratovic finished fifth in the 100 free (50.80).

Quinn Marchionini also had a strong meet, as he finished it with a fifth place finish in the 200 back (1:48.07). Sean Neils (44.17) and Braden Wise (44.69) went 5-6 in the 100 free, while Elliot Fiedel had a sixth place finish in the 200 breaststroke in 2:03.08.

Anders Logas took fifth in the 3 meter dive with a score of 304.10.

UMBC will return to the pool on December 6 when the swimmers visit Salisbury and the divers host the inaugural Retriever Diving Invite.
